CINCO DE MAYO!

My school is hosting a competition for students to design a "Cinco de Mayo" inspired look. The grand prize is $500 US. When I saw that I had to pounce quickly because I am currently broke and unemployed and apparently it is illegal to hire me. (Stueps!)
Even though I am studying at F.I.T. I am not a fashion design student. However, if you know me you would know that I have been drawing fashion designs for years now and this time I got some technique down ;)
(PS I am currently overexcited during the writing of this post because when I handed in my designs,
I heard the lady say, "Wow, this is beautiful," while I was walking out the door. So I feel a tad bite up.)

Anyways I created two looks. The fiery red one is more traditional as I incorporated elements of a gown you would most likely see at a "Cinco de Mayo" parade. Whereas the royal blue one is more modern as I utilized the current cut-out trend while still maintaining those hispanic elements of frills and embroidery.

Avoiding Carnival like its the Plague

I am blatantly vex, sad and jealous every time I see a post about Trinidad Carnival. So I will be avoiding it on the whole by not logging onto Facebook until the end of March. I know this weekend, Monday and Tuesday will be full of pics =/... Wednesday for those who were too tired or drunk to upload their pics... The rest of the week to toat about how two days isn't enough (stuepppppsss we all know this!)... and a month talking about Carnival Tabanca.
So I will be locking off my culture for a month and be slightly depressed by it all.

Completely Fashion Unrelated

For my english course, I was assigned to read 4 novels, one of them being "The Glass Castle" by Jeannette Walls. (After reading, I learnt that her name was inspired by one of her father's teachers who was apparently the first person to believe in him. Faith is all we need sometimes.)
I was suppose to have completed this novel approximately two weeks ago. Of course, I lied and said I did while bullshitting my answers to the professor and the rest of the class to look as though I was up keeping my studies.
(P.S. Thanks Rileigh for the quick brief notes on the chapters and I would also like to thank Wikipedia ;) )

Not to my surprise, I picked up the book (finally) and finished it in 2 days. Sigh. I'm pretty sure if I wasn't distracted by other things or people, I would have finished it in less than a day.
The book is an autobiography of Jeannette Walls. To some, it might have showcased an unruly living set by the mishaps of her parents, but to others it was viewed as an adventure. I believe that no child should go starving especially if it can be prevented. However, it didn't seem to bother Jeanette that she had to eat a few meals from scavenging through the dumpster because she knew that, in the end, there was more to be expected and she will one day live a "better" life. Again faith.
My favourite lessons from the novel are that "what doesn't kill you will only make you stronger", "adversity is the first step to success" and lastly, "life should never be fully planned because it leaves no room for living". Each lesson leaves it's own interpretation, and each interpretation is defined by the individual who learns from it... (something Jeanette's mother might have preached).
I highly recommend that you find your (arse) tail to the book store, buy the book, read it and then pass it on to someone else.
After you're done, hit me up an email and let me know what you thought about it.
Don't tell me that you liked the story, because I know you will. Instead write to me about how you felt during the process of reading it and what messages spoke out to you the most.

Lana Del Rey covers Vogue UK

Lana Del Rey is definitely on the top of my iPod playlist these days. Her voice has a soulful glamour integrated with an indie sound. Another fascinating about this woman besides her voice is her style. It emulates the 60's era. So her articles of clothing are very vintage and tailored. I picture her as a modern twiggy with long hair... those eyes and full lips are just so intriguing.

I guess Vogue UK felt the same way about the American singer's aesthetic and featured her on their March 2012 cover. Make sure to get the issue on the stands! (If you can)

Photography done by Pierre Dal Corso. I couldn't decide which picture I preferred since each image depicted a different mood and setting, so I decided to feature all four. I like the theatrical use of props and makeup done in all the images, (theatrics done in the right way, unlike Nicki who was a bit outrageous in the Grammy's). I thought it helped to bring out the details of each garment... with the oval-like sequins in the first, flower-ruffles in the second, fur in the third and pleats in the fourth image.
However, something about the third image with its mime depiction and oversized cut-out lips grab my eyes the most, but then again that might be a bias opinion.

Kate Moss covers W magazine

The styling definitely coordinates perfectly with the theme of being "Spring's Fashion Bible".
However, which of the two covers do you prefer?
My vote goes to the left cover. I feel like the theme is better portrayed in that image because when I look at the picture, I see a religious bride whereas in the other picture, I see a 40's glamour girl.

These women should be an inspirational to all! Stylish by the clothes they wear, youthful by the combination of colours and patterns they ensemble and beautiful by the attitude they bring to fashion. It is extremely fun to see a person, of any age, put effort into their appearance. It shows their personality... whether they are conservative or liberal, cautious or rebellious, a follower or a trendsetter and the list goes on.
I hope that when I reach their age, I am drowned in every piece of jewelry I own and rockin vintage pieces of my favorite designer.
PS I love Versace as well. Donatella is actually my girl!

One Shot One Kill

My photo of the day. One thing that stood out to me a lot in this photo is his layering, t'was on point! Leather is a material that is kind of tricky to wear when you add more than the usual amount of pieces in an outfit and if not worn properly you'd just end up looking as if you're trying to have "Swag" but in this scenario he makes it seem so effortless. So be careful how you wear this all you persons who in that cold weather state.

PS:Tryna get my hands on a perfecto similar to this for a couple shoots i have coming up so if anybody got the hook up link meh!

Alexander Mcqueen's Angel

For their Spring 2012 campaign, the models portrayed angels from artwork of the 14th to 15th century. Prior to the Renaissance era, art pieces were themed mainly around religion and heavily dosed in gold to represent the heavenly gates. Onto the Renaissance period, gold was still implemented to highlight religious events. Moreover, this is when humanism started to evolve as paintings were created to look more realistic and artists embraced the human body (nudity).

Now many centuries and many generations later, you can see, from the first image above, that gold still plays an important factor in visually describing the holy realms and that the halo is still represented by a circle directly behind the angel's head. Obviously, things are more modernized in terms of angles and colours used to capture the image of an angel, but it's fascinating to see the difference of what art has turned into. It has been digitalized.

I am huge fan of McQueen's campaigns simply because there so much detail put into it with regards to the graphics, which seems to mirror perfectly the amount of detail put into their garments. In addition, their campaigns have a knack for separating itself from the rest.

Gwyneth Paltrow was featured in Harper's Bazaar March issue. When I think of Gwyneth, I think of an elegant, beautiful woman who is somewhat soft spoken but still has the ability to stand out in a crowd. However, this editorial has changed my perception of her. She can be bold, loud and very sexy. I love that all of her ensembles are black and structured in a way to bare skin without it looking inappropriate. Note this woman has two children... blatant milf!

Don't know his name, but apparently he has been featured in Vogue, WomensWear Daily (WWD) and now, on my blog. I casually crossed paths with him on Prince Street off of Houston and he was standing on the corner waiting on the light to change.

The picture doesn't do justice to his hair, but he has a really cool Mohawk effect going on.

Yes, I know I am slightly stalkerish but I can't help but appreciate a good facio or fashionista.

Strange enough that's how I met my boyfriend by being a creep who liked his style lol.

Belt Necklace

I am a fan of the belt necklace. Just the other night, I used two braided belts of varying sizes to accessorize my ensemble. If I had not have done that, the outfit would have been very typical and boring. I styled the belts to drape my neck, however, in the pictures above they used the belt as choker.
So if you need a little extra spice to your outfit... why don't you belt your neck.

Apparently designers have switched direction on there vision for shoes from accessorizing them to giving it a new texture. Last year spikes and studs were the leading accessories for shoes to give it that luxurious edgy look but now snake skin have taken over from hats to jackets to high end label shoes. The Marc Jacobs is my personal fav out of all because of the color way but ibet the top selling shoe most likely would be the louboutins due to the ridiculous over exaggerated hype that the rappers gave to it, no pun intended but that's just how i feel

Wow, is the first thing that must be said when looking at Dakota Fanning today. She has truly blossomed into a beautiful, young woman and I am truly a fan of the rising fashion it-girl. After her and her sister were featured in Vogue's Best Dressed issue, I became smitten over the girl. Thank G for publications, otherwise I would have never really taken her on to be honest.

For the Elle UK February 2012 issue, there were two covers both featuring the gorgeous Dakota Fanning. I believe on the left, is the subscription cover and on the right, is the newsstand cover.

I know a lot of people prefer the newsstand cover because they find it more age appropriate, yet still alluring.

However, which one do you prefer?

Last night, Swappi and Nebula 868 performed at Woodford cafe. It was quite an interesting show of gyrating and splits with a hint of bubbling. Despite that I came out for Sean and Wong, Swappi really grabbed my attention with his 4D outfit. He looked like will-i-am in a bow tie.

Was there a lot of glitter last night?

Happy new year everyone! Hope you got drunk off of champagne and blew on a horn before you turned to the person next to you for a kiss. Ofc, it is the last night of the year, everyone had to look glamourous to make up for any shizzy moments that took place in 2011. Now, we are in 2012 and I wish everyone the best of luck and that you learn from your mistakes last year and push to be the best of yourself for this year.

Reminiscing on the "Marry the night" video by Lady Gaga, I found this editorial in Vogue Paris' December 2011 issue featuring Arizona Muse. The theme was blatantly Glam Rock. I like the emphasis on some of the 80's references such as the hair and the colours reflected throughout the images. Once again editorials are flooded by gold and glitter, especially Dolce and Gabbana's glitter star dress which was also highlighted on the cover of Instyle magazine featuring Beyonce.
Seeing all of the shimmer and shine, reminded me of last night... What I remembered of it at least =S

Shells, Ties and Stars

Alexander Mcqueen experimented with sea-shells on his menswear accessories. As soon as I saw it, I was absolutely intrigued ofc! Mainly because I know very few male Trinidadians who would watched this and instantly think that it's something they must incorporate into their wardrobe. Moreover, I am currently going through beach-tabanca. It's been a while since my feet have touched warm sand and I am blatantly toating over that fact. Sigh.

On the other hand, D-Squared gave us stars and ties. D-Squared is known for their fun collections and interesting clothing combinations so it is not a surprise that they would mix urban with formal attire and also, the additional quirk with the stars.

I honestly think that next year will be an interesting year for menswear. After reviewing some of the Spring 2012 collections, I spotted a lot of new and exciting things for menswear and I can't wait to see the trends play out on the streets.

Don't want to come across too hypebeast-ish but honestly nowadays the pins/brooches are the main accessories that would transform your outfit from bleehhh to break your neck to see what he/she has on. The trend itself has a slight buzz over here in the twin island Trinidad & Tobago but hasn't captured the attention of the masses just yet but eventually it would slowly but surely. The main factor about these accessories is that it adds interest to your outfit, it kinda has a story of its own that only the wearer knows about and that's what intrigues me about it so i myself decided to try my hand at making my own out of a cigarette box and trust me it has a deep story behind it.

Try them out sometime if you haven't, create your own story, raise the interest of the non interested you never know it could be a life changer ;).

Menswear Briefing

1.) Bottega Veneta, 2.) Phillip Lim, 3.) Dior, 4.) Dolce & Gabbana, 5. & 6.) D-Squared.

I have this growing obsession with menswear now. In class, I am taught that menswear does not experience much change in terms of styling but, it does experience minor changes in detailing. These minor changes include varying collar sizes, variation of buttons and even differences in the intricate designs along the seams. However, from the Spring 2012 menswear collections, those statements were proven to be false.
If you look at Bottega Veneta and D-Squared designs, they played on a lot of prints and focused on slouchy pants. On the other hand, Phillip Lim and Dior focused on the styling of the shirts, to have this cool fan out effect. And ofc, somebody had to include sheer...Why not Dolce and Gabbana for the win?
Is the perception of menswear changing? Or am I just too new and oblivious to this whole menswear saga.

The Gentleman's Game

For my Intro to the Fashion Industry class, I had a field assignment to visit all of the high end designer boutiques and formulate a new trend from their Spring 2012 menswear collections. This is what I found:

Target Retailer: Bloomingdales.

After reviewing majority of the runway collections for Spring 2012, I have uncovered a few trends for the next season. I present to you “The Gentlemen’s Game“ which is dedicated to fashion inspired by the game of golf. The trend has been spotted in a variety of shows such as Alexander McQueen, Bottega Veneta, Etro, and Gucci to name a few.

The trend emulates the beginning days of the pro-game tournament. To think of it, looking through the collections, it did remind me of the movie “The Greatest Game Ever Played.” I believe this trend is interesting because it represents an era as well as a sport that emphasizes what it is to be a gentleman. There is also a lot of focus on the plaid pattern. However, it isn’t just the typical plaid pattern anymore. Bottega Veneta did an interesting job creating a garment out of a fabric that looked like a plaid wash. Overall, the trend involves very tailored suits, but it does include other items such as separates, vintage shades and clean, dressy shoes.

This trend definitely caters to men who want to stand out but look fashionable still. Therefore, the customer will be inspired by quirky looks and by patterns. Moreover, this trend has an array of trend items that goes along with it whether it’s the accessories, blazers, trousers or shirts. So I think customers would have fun combining the pieces together to formulate an ensemble that speaks “The Gentlemen’s Game.” I also believe retailers would take a strong interest in this trend because it will provide their male consumers a variety of colours coordinated into the patterns.

Men & Dots

I can't recall which designer these models are walking for. However, I am intrigued by majority of the pieces that they are wearing. Some of the ensembles are a bit much, but when you pull them apart you really find some amazing items such the blazers. The blazers are very structured and tailored and have a neat trim around the edges which make them look more refined.

So yeah... men in polkadots. Who knew!

There is a lot talk circulating about Vogue Italia's December editorial, featuring Karlie Kloss. When I stored these pictures on my desktop, life was great. Then all of sudden, a few days later I saw articles on Fashionista.com and Coco's Tea Party referring to the editorial as a controversy and spoken about in a negative manner. Apparently, readers aren't happy with the retouching of the last image and are complaining about how Kloss' body is too contorted and unrealistic. Personally, I find the image looks interesting and for those who question her figure, they need to get over it and realize that she is model and her career revolves around having a slender figure. Moreover, did they not see the Victoria Secret fashion show?!? Her body looked amazing! I mean the girl isn't skinny thin but a healthy and lean figure.

Modeling 101

My latest youtube obsession is a series of skits by The Seedrink Crew, which is a trinidadian production team. I have been killing myself with laughter at some of their videos especially this one!

Obviously, it is ridiculously dramatized, but they do have some valid points for models about modeling.

POINTS TO REMEMBER

(if you want to be a model ofc):

1.) Dress appropriately: a simple tank and plain jeans, preferably in neutral colours.
2.) Network! You never know if the person next to you will give you your next job.
3.) Remember to elongate your features. On camera, it looks more appealing.
4.) Your walk has to define you, that's why they call it your signature walk.
5.) Remember to be nice. Politeness will get you far!
6.) Get a cool haircut... as they said "high fashion!"
7.) Know your local designers: Meiling, Heather Jones and The Cloth
8.) Not all men in fashion are gay. (durr Peter Elias? haha)

The last key point I shall leave you with...
You must work then walk then walk then work!

Marry the Night with Gaga

Gaga's latest video, like her other videos, blew my mind! This time I wasn't analyzing her strange behaviour but appreciating her passion for her art. Besides her undying love for her work, it was her passion for New York that struck me as well. I think it is amazing when someone incorporates their roots into their work and ofc Gaga does it amazingly well.
In other Gaga news... She finally debuts on Elle UK! However, she didn't get one but two newsstand covers for the January 2012 issue. I am not positive which designer she is wearing on the left cover, but the orange beaded dress is definitely from Alexander McQueen's Spring/ Summer 2012 collection!

So the ultimate question? Which cover do you prefer.

I really like both! However, something about that mint green and the look in her eyes makes me see a soft side of Lady Gaga that I have never seen before, so that cover intrigues me more.

Sexiest Couple!

This is my second favorite couple, with Wiz Khalifa (Cameron) and Amber Rose being my first. During the Maroon 5 performance at the Victoria Secret fashion show, I almost melted when Adam Levine gave his girlfriend, Anne Vyalitsyna, a kiss at the end of the runway and held her hand for majority of the walk. Heart! Note that I am completely bias when it comes to Adam Levine because I have been truly obsessed with his good looks ever since I got my hands on a "Songs by Jane" album. First I fell in love with the music, then the voice, then I saw what the lead singer looked like and there was no turning back. (Teen girl fantasies). And when I finally got to see him live in concert, ofc I cried.
Anyways, back to Anne and Adam being "A" sexy-ass couple by nature with his rock-star status and her hot VS figure. Power couple when it comes to gorgeous-ness right?

Don't they just look juicy on the cover for Vogue Russia!
This is blatantly the next step after the "Never Gonna Leave This Bed" video.
Can't wait to see the following step after this cover. Wink.

Who let the cat out of the bag?

Late August, I saw that there were a few kittens running around in editorials and on the top fashion blog websites. I find it too strange how the fashion industry is fascinated by dressing up as animals. Last year, they wanted to be bunnies and now, they want to be cats?

Well I must say that cats are a definite upgrade from bunnies, because they are very independent creatures and seductive, by nature, so I could see the attraction to be one.

Must Dye Grins' Hair!

Grins is the nickname of my grandmother. Before she adds dark grey streaks to her hair, it is usually a bright white. However, I wouldn't mind convincing her to give this look a try. I mean this platinum blonde looks almost white.

This is the first issue of the Style.com magazine and it was finally placed in my mailbox for my personal pleasure. Yay me!! I ordered it online over a month ago, so I was obviously overjoyed when I saw it. I can't wait to flip through the pages and blog about all the interesting editorials, articles and ads placed inside.

I am not referring to Blondie's "Sunday Girl", but Jade Williams who is also known as Sunday Girl. She is an upcoming UK pop singer. If you go on her youtube channel, you could view all of her original soundtracks as well as all of her covers. My personal favorite cover, by her, is 'Tik Tok by Ke$ha' (link). She does an amazing job with the cover because she integrates her own personal style into the song which differentiates her cover from others in terms of uniqueness.

MUSIC VIDEO BREAK DOWN TIME!

I have been scrolling through various interviews featuring Jade and the main question asked was to describe her style. Her response in a few words were, "Parisian, tailored, masculine, 60's ( at times) classic and simple." In a separate interview, she goes into more details about her love for androgynous apparel. She says, "I love dressing like a boy, it's a contrast to my big girly hair."
Personally, I have been integrating more masculine pieces in my style with the expansion of my shirt and bow-tie collections. I have also been on the hunt for both grey trousers and a good pair of boyfriend jeans which honestly, has been the most difficult shopping mission of my life. Sigh.
With regards to the video, the ensembles are not heavily masculine. Her first outfit was this light and airy dress which was a gorgeous green, pastel colour and possessed beautiful bead work and a nice cut in the back. Her following ensemble, which was a shirt dress, was the same colour as the first. ( I guess she really liked the colour). Then the video features various incorporations of jackets into her wardrobe. One was this tuxedo tail jacket which was paired with a flowy cream dress and the other was a over sized suit. Even though the first dress was a definite eye-grabber, my favorite ensemble was the mod- inspired dress towards the end of the video. I liked the flower ruffled collar detail on the shirt and the box cut of the black dress which had a cool pleated fan effect at the base.

Birthday Blessing

Today is my birthday. I turned 19 early this morning at 12:13 AM. How do I know my exact time? My mother always reminds me that she didn't want me to be born on 'Black Friday' and look what happened... I was born on 13 minutes into Saturday. I want to thank everyone for all the birthday wishes :). It really means a lot to me and I appreciate all of the love.So this list is a week one event. So far I drank tea and got balloons which means I have a lot more to do!

Eliza Doolittle is an English singer-songwriter from London. She is signed to the Parlophone record label which has taken on many other phenomenal artists such as Coldplay, Kylie Minogue and Lily Allen. Her debut self-titled album, Eliza Doolittle, was released on the 12th of July 2010, where it debuted at number 3 in the UK. However, I came across this amazing artist a few weeks ago when Chelsi (my beautiful ebony) sent me the link to her "Skinny Genes" video.
I was instantly drawn to her style. At first I thought it was Cali-girl swag, but then I dug up a few more photos and put her into a cross category called a "hip hop-influenced hipster". Long title? Yeah I know.
She definitely has that hipster essence about her (for all those people who think that being a hipster is not cool, you're not cool). It comes out with her choice of vintage patterns, fun shorts and unique pieces which is portrayed as very laid-back but still flirty. The hip-hop influence obviously is seen in her obsession with sneakers. (Uhhh love a girl who could rock a dress and a pair of kicks in one ensemble).

I actually really liked her cover of Beyonce's song "Party". Please take a likkle listen.

I {heart} Fitz & The Tantrums.

For the past few months, I have been on a rap/ hip-hop agenda. Now that my mind is gradually seeking a different sound, I have found many indie artists to add to my iPod. A lot of them are UK born artists, but then there was Fitz & The Tantrums :). They are an American soul/ indie-pop band from LA. I love their energy, their boy/girl nature and their mix of elements from different genres. They honestly make interesting music which is refreshing to listen to.

Privacy In Public

Privacy in Public is a new designer line established by a young up and coming designer who goes by the name of Carlton Yaito a former member of the group Red Ribbon Army. He posted on his facebook a couple days ago that the line was finally complete but didn't say when it is to be released, so icouldnt wait to show ya'll a preview his pieces. I know it might not be the normal tshirt and pants that most persons would wear but that is what gives it the edge its a dare to be different kinda line so if any of ya'll based in the NY area are interested keep an eye out for when the releasing date is iight cuz im definitely copping a piece.

Below is Karlie Kloss featured in an editorial for Numero magazine's 2011 October issue. I retrieved these photos from an article, posted on Fashionising.com, referring to Karlie Kloss as the new Kate Moss with its title, "Kloss the new Moss". I believe Kloss has a very promising career ahead of her. She has been gracing the pages of many magazines such as W magazine, Elle, Numero and Vanity Fair to name a few. She has also walked the catwalks of some of the most prestigious designers for example Versace, Oscar de la Renta, Louis Vuitton and Yves Saint Laurent. In addition, she was rated the best model of 2008 by People magazine.

However, will she be the next Kate Moss? Who knows! In my books, Kate Moss will always be irreplaceable because even today, she still has a flourishing career in the model industry and she is continuously being named as an iconic figure in the fashion industry. Designers, stylists and fashion lovers, all over the globe, look at Kate as a source of inspiration. So I doubt anyone will reign on her parade any time soon.

I originally reposted this editorial to highlight a few ideas for Fall ensembles and also, to showcase the varying forms of layering and use of faux fur. But sometimes you can't help but add in your two cents about occurring events.

Let me say quickly... CONGRATS TO ANYA AYOUNG-CHEE for winning Project Runway! You stuck with your Caribbean aesthetic and you have represented your country wonderfully. I, like many others, am proud of you for doing so well in the competition and unifying Trinidad & Tobago when we need it the most. I completely agree with Michael Kors that you are capable of branding yourself to market other products and I can't wait to see you at the next New York fashion week.

For the last challenge, Anya decorated her arms in bands and I couldn't help myself but stack a bunch on my wrist for the season finale.

Unfortunately no one in Manhattan really knows about Divali which is a Hindu celebration also known as the 'Festival of Lights'. So to make up for my lack of participation in deya lighting this year, I decided to add some Indian flare to my daily ensemble with bangles and earrings that I purchased at the Indian expo at home a few years back.

What I wear daily: Pink linen pants.

I forgot that I had packed these pants. So when I saw them at the bottom of my draw, I knew I wanted to go for a semi-sophiscated look. Then I decided to had a little Parisian essence into the ensemble with the striped long-sleeve and finally, topped it off with my new scarf that I bought at a street fair on sixth ave.
Could I be called the girl in the green scarf? Because that was the intention behind the purchase.

Bombay Dreams II: Peter Elias

Bombay Dreams in a fashion show featuring some of Trinidad's major designers, (Meling, Heather Jones and Peter Elias), to raise money for charity. The organizations which they are focusing on for this year's show, Bombay Dreams II, are Samaan Shelter for Abused Women and Children, and the Vitas House Hospice for terminally ill cancer patients.

Now that you know about the event, let's talk about the clothes!
Peter Elias stunned me with this collection. It's beautifully draped, full of colour, styled perfectly and very chic. I like that he presented a mix of styles for the draping technique. He showcased a variety of necklines and slits by the legs while maintaining an easy-flowing elegance. Additionally, I liked the abundance of long beaded necklaces and of course there had to be some presence of bangles, otherwise it would have lost its Bombay touch.

November 17th in the day that Versace hits H&M stores!
Ever since I heard that Versace was creating a line for the clothing franchise, I have been following all of the updates and a date was finally made! (Yay)
I am a huge Versace fan. I absolutely love the looks that Donatella Versace creates and I am excited to make my first purchase of the luxury brand.
The video, above, is a simple interview with Donatella about the brand and the extension of the Versace line. She discusses what is to be expected of the brand and describes a view of the designs.

Miss Piggy is a true star. She is out promoting the upcoming Muppets Movie and is doing it with style. Miss Piggy from the beginning has always executed her performances in a glamourous way which has attracted the attention of many designers, such a Marc Jacobs, Zac Posen and Christian Louboutin. Even beauty companies, such as MAC, are incorporating Miss Piggy in their campaigns. The pig is quite the icon! In the words of Madame Cochon- "There is the satisfaction of providing your public with a vision to true beautology, true stylistic, how can I put it? True glamorositude".
